Thoughts of the Day

I have a few things on my mind, that I thought, where better to be written then on my blog.  This is completely my opinion and some people may not agree and others may agree.  It is whatever, but here it goes.
-Well Bin Laden is dead {it seems pretty legit this time} and people around the world are so very happy about it.  They are throwing parties and posting facebook statuses, this has been something so many people have been waiting for for ten years.  9/11 was a tragic time, it destroyed so many lives... and we finally got one of the masterminds behind the attack that left American's in such fear and chaos.
I read so many of my friends facebook status updates {like I said before} so many said things about him finally being dead, that he was going to burn in hell, he got what was coming to him.... all in all their was a lot anger.  Although on this occasion I did not update my status with the masses.  Only one status really captured what I was feeling, me personally:
"I will mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that."
-MLK Jr.
That pretty much sums up my feelings on the events of it all, I don't want anyone to think that I was mad that they were mad at Bin Laden and are glad that he finally got what he had coming.. these are just my feelings on the situation.  I hate being mad in general I don't like being angry or holding grudges.  I know the sacrifices SO many people have made, I have had dear friends make those same sacrifices, 9/11 struck a cord in everyone.  It will never be forgotten, nor will all the lives of so many we lost.  So thank you too all the amazing troops out their serving and the everyday heroes of America who continually show what a true generous loving serving American is and how we are.
On a lighter note:
The cute sister, in the middle... yeah she WON for Sophomore Class Officer today, people love her and are drawn to her.  She has such a sparkling, yes I said sparkling personality... she is a friend to everyone.  She is one of my best friends.  I cried when I found out she won because I know she will make a HUGE impact on the school.   I love you Livs, I am oh so very proud of you!!!
